“Ugly Betty” star Rebecca Romijn wanted to have one last footloose and fancy-free weekend before going on maternity leave from her ABC series. So she left New York City and flew to Pigeon Forge just to see Dolly Parton perform one of her benefit shows this past Sunday.
“I’ve never seen her perform live before,” Romijn told the Insider column. “I can’t think of a better place to see Dolly live than the place where all this wonderful music was inspired.”
The actress and former model wore a green fitted tee with capri pants and sandals, her hair pulled back. She wore minimal makeup.
Romijn, who is five months pregnant with twin girls, did a quick Pigeon Forge trip but took in as much as she could. Romijn went to Dixie Stampede on Saturday night, where she dined on Southern cooking.
On Sunday, she was thrilled to have a private meeting with Parton before the concert, which benefited the Dollywood Foundation and its educational programs. Among the chief programs is the Imagination Library, which delivers books to pre-schoolers to stimulate their desire to read.

Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn’s twin girls aren’t even born yet, but the excited dad-to-be is already preparing to monitor his daughters’ love lives.
“They’re only having sex when I’m dead,” O’Connell, 34, joked to Entertainment Tonight on Thursday. “If they don’t date boys at all and just want to be infatuated with their father, that’s what I’m really going for. The nunnery!”
Still, the actor says he’s thrilled to have girls, for whom he and Romijn, 35, are considering rhyming names. “I think I’m going to be good [at] raising girls,” he said. “I can’t wait. They’re going to be tough chicks.”
As for O’Connell’s No.-1 tough chick, Romijn is “doing great,” he says, and “getting big … Rebecca is the most beautiful thing that ever happened to the O’Connell family tree.”

Rebecca Romijn wants to call one of her unborn children Dolly.
The ‘Ugly Betty’ star, who is expecting twin daughters with husband Jerry O’Connell later this year, has decided to pay tribute to her favourite singer Dolly Parton.
She said: “I have been a Dolly fan all of my life. She is a wonderful woman. I really connect with her music and I can’t think of a better role model for my children.”
Rebecca, who finally met the country singing legend at the ‘Backwoods Barbie’ show in Tennessee’s Dollywood theme park last week, also revealed Dolly was thrilled to discover she had been inspiring baby names.
Rebecca, 35, added to In Touch Weekly magazine: “Dolly has this great, sweet personality but she is also so strong and wise. I got her blessing. She was honoured I had chosen the name Dolly.”
Dolly dedicated her song ‘Little Sparrow’ to Rebecca when she performed it during the show.
Rebecca wed Jerry, 34, last summer in an intimate Los Angeles ceremony.
Jerry recently revealed he was doing everything possible to keep his wife comfortable during her pregnancy.
He said: “Having children is something we really worked hard at, and it’s just happened. We are blessed.”
